A Buck Short

“The hunter was proud to show the [Michigan State Conservation Officers] his buck, which was hanging in the barn from a pulley system,” says a Michigan Department of Natural Resources report. The unnamed hunter had bragged on Facebook about the “monster” 13-point buck he had shot, complete with photos. The problem: the date and time on the online post was before his hunting license was issued. “The hunter explained that it was a buck of a lifetime and he couldn’t help himself and knew he had done wrong,” the report noted, and unspecified “enforcement action was taken.” (RC/Flint Journal) ...They say hunting is a sport. If so, hunters have to follow the rules of the game.
