A Hot Date with a Jailer
An unnamed 37-year-old woman went shopping at a mall in St. Charles, Md. She left seven children aged 2 to 4 in her car in the parking lot — on a hot day, with the windows rolled up. Two of the children were hers; she was babysitting the other five. Luckily, someone called 911 to report the dangerous situation, and responding sheriff’s deputies got the kids out before they came to serious harm. And who was it that was so attentive and alert to quickly summon aid? The 4-year-old in the car.
