Tough to Bear
Difficulty breathing was among the symptoms people in the Eureka Building developed after — according to a Pennsylvania criminal complaint — Mary C. Siegert left the University of Pittsburgh facility. Pitt police say Siegert, 28, had asked a few questions, then suddenly left and run for the bus. They found her a little more than an hour later. Police said she had two cans of Grizzly Tough Bear Spray Counter Assault, one of which was empty and tucked inside her coat. Siegert suggested any discharge might have been accidental, but somehow, according to police, her clothing was in an unsprayed condition, and she was charged with assault and risking catastrophe.
