A Little Dinghy

When a man tried to steal a boat at a waterside restaurant in Stuart, Fla., he made several mistakes. First, the 23 boat’s owner saw him. Second, the boat’s owner is a retired police officer, who moved quickly to capture him. And third, the owner was able to capture him because the thief didn’t get very far: he hadn’t realized the boat was still tied to the dock. Jimmie Shuman, 42, was arrested and charged with grand theft of a boat, and battery on a law enforcement officer. (RC/Stuart News) ...He has a previous arrest for carjacking, but didn’t get away because he couldn’t drive a stick.
