And Boy, Were the Firefighters Hungry Afterward

A loaded semi truck caught fire on the Interstate in Cumberland, Md. Because of the cargo, multiple fire departments were called in to fight the stubborn blaze, and the freeway was closed for six hours. The cargo? A “variety of pork products,” but mainly bacon: the melting fat fed the flames. Cumberland Fire Department Capt. Steve Grogg noted, “We’d rather have something like that than a hazardous material.” (RC/Cumberland Times-News) ...It certainly smells a lot better.
