Animal Control, Prehistoric Squad
Greg McGrew owns Dino Crew Entertainment, a company that provides human-operated, life-sized moving model dinosaurs for events ranging from backyard parties to a Mercedes commercial. Recently, while the dinosaurs were visiting a park in Eloy, Ariz., someone called the police, asking if there were dinosaurs in the park. When the 911 operator confirmed there were indeed dinosaurs there, the caller asked, “Are they real?” Uh... no. “My favorite was when animal control was called” while he was working at a park in Phoenix, McGrew said. An animal control officer approached him and “started laughing once they got closer.” The dinosaurs are about seven feet tall and as long as a car, and are so realistic McGrew regularly gets calls from people impressed by his ability to resurrect and tame them. “We’re having fun with it,” McGrew said. Like any large animal, though, they are transported in cages. (MS/Eloy Enterprise) ...They are certain to get protests from PPETA (Prehistoric People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).Original Publication Date: 25 March 2018
