Attractive Nuisance
A group of boys sneaked into a high school “sports complex” in Glen Rock, N.J., after hours to get video of some stunts. One of the things they wanted to play on was a zip line, but the harness and pulley systems had been put away, so an unnamed 15-year-old slung his t-shirt over the wire and jumped. He got stuck part-way down, and 30 feet above the ground. “He couldn’t go any further and he had to let go,” says Police Capt. Jonathan Miller. He broke his leg in the fall. School Superintendent Paula Valenti said the boy was “not allowed” to use the zip line, and “all security enhancements were in place.” (RC/Bergen Record) ...The security enhancement: the kids were told at the beginning of the school year they were “not allowed” there.Original Publication Date: 28 September 2014
