Blind Drunk

An unnamed 24-year-old official from the Kobe (Japan) Municipal Government says he was out drinking in the city’s Sannomiya district, but afterward apparently missed his train stop for his home in the Hyogo Ward. Police got involved because of where he was trespassing at 1:35 a.m.: he had climbed over a 2m fence into the grounds of Kakogawa Prison, bringing guards running. He was arrested. “I had intended to go home,” he told investigators. “I didn’t notice it was a prison.” (RC/Mainichi Daily News) ...If he’s anything like American government officials, that will eventually be “home” to him anyway.
