Blowhard Showman

An ambulance crew in Sunbury, Pa., had just dropped off a patient at a hospital and were cleaning up the back when one of the medics noticed someone had jumped into the driver’s seat. They leapt out the back just as the ambujacker sped away with their rig, crashing into two trucks as he left the parking lot, running through various stop signs. The thief had a destination in mind: a pharmacy in nearby Danville, where he crashed into a barrier pole, went inside, hopped over the counter, and demanded the pharmacist provide him some “oxys” as he rifled through packaged prescriptions trying to find something he’d like. An off-duty federal prison guard happened to be a witness to the antics, and tackled the man and held him for police. Adam R. Zaharick, 29, admitted to officers he “wanted to put on a show” by stealing the ambulance, which was destroyed in the wreck. (RC/Sunbury Daily Item) ...It’s amazing how many people demand pain pills when they’re the ones actually causing the pain.
