After a shooting during an attempted robbery, the Memphis (Tenn.) Police impounded a van. Over a month later, they discovered new evidence inside the van — a dead body. Police don’t know why the victim wasn’t discovered earlier. “This incident is unacceptable and should never have happened,” MPD Director Michael Rallings said. The department has opened an internal investigation into why investigators hadn’t located the victim before.
