Boo Hoo U

Rico Auliaputra, 25, a student at the University of Wollongong in New South Wales, Australia, shares an apartment with three other students — women. Auliaputra, who is from Indonesia, is studying Internet technology — and put some tech to use: the women found a camera hidden in a sponge in the bathroom. The women made him move out. “Just after they found me [filming]” them, he said, “then they want me to leave and I left straight away.” He was arrested, charged with filming a person in a private act without consent. Auliaputra admitted the charge, and is awaiting sentencing. As he left the Wollongong Local Court, he avoided reporters. “Please, give me privacy!” he whined. “I’m so embarrassed.” (RC/Sydney Morning Herald, Illawarra Mercury) ...Some learn empathy as children, others have the lesson thrust upon them as foolish adults.
