Calling “Gloria”
Some St. Louis Blues hockey players heard the 1982 Laura Branigan hit “Gloria” in a bar, and the team put it to use. The Blues played the song in their locker room when they won — and after struggling, they began a winning streak. “Absolutely LOVE this, and it’s getting a LOT of press!” posted Kathy Keto Golik, who used to be Branigan’s manager and still runs a Facebook page about her. But while Golik says fans have been trying to get Branigan to sing “Gloria” live, that’s not going to happen: Branigan is dead — and has been since 2004.
