Queen of Her Castle

When Gwendolyn Agard, 79, of Commerce, Ga., heard someone trying to break into her house, she called 911 — and grabbed her pistols to protect herself. She was reluctant to talk to the media afterward because it wasn’t a “big deal,” but finally relented and gave an interview to say how it went down after Hans Rogers, 20, was arrested for home invasion and jailed without bond. After the man broke a window to get in a door, “I said, ‘motherf---er, if you come any further, you’re a dead son of a bitch!” she told the reporter. The intruder ignored her so she fired a warning shot, but he simply went to an upstairs door and came in anyway. After ransacking her rooms, the burglar came downstairs, and she shot again, this time less as a warning. “Bitch!” he yelled. “Are you trying to kill me?” He “cowered in a closet” until sheriff’s deputies arrived to arrest him. (RC/WXIA Atlanta) ...No she wasn’t trying to kill him! If she was, he’d be dead.
