Chompion of Justice

Two men wearing black walked behind homes in Barefoot Bay, Fla., and fled from sheriff’s deputies. Then there was yelling, from a source the deputies couldn’t find. And then, after two days, the body of Michael Riggins, 22, was found. Authorities say they’re investigating burglaries in the area and there may be a connection. But Riggins doesn’t seem to have been killed by a burglary victim: “When the body was found, it had injuries that were consistent with an alligator attack,” said Maj. Tod Goodyear of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, which said the dive team that retrieved the corpse also found an aggressive alligator. “We had trappers euthanize the gator and when we opened it up, there were some remains inside that were consistent with injuries found on the body.” (AC/Florida Today) ...The alligator didn’t get paid leave pending the investigation?
