Polk County (Fla.) Sheriff Grady Judd says a burglary suspect’s actions are “disgusting” after seeing her crimes on hidden security cameras; the resulting video was posted on Facebook, and went viral. In the video, the woman can be seen walking into a Lakeland house and stealing gifts meant for the homeowners’ 2-year-old daughter. The victims, who were home at the time, are a police officer and his wife. The suspect: Dana Hagar, a neighbor — and a police officer’s wife. Hagar is already on probation for shoplifting, Judd says. “The fact that she’s a cop’s wife is shocking,” Judd says. “The fact that she stole from another cop’s wife is shocking. And, then my wife saw it on Facebook and knew more about it than I did.” Hagar allegedly returned the gifts in the middle of the night after opening them and apparently not finding the contents of interest. “Here’s the word” for Hagar and “porch pirates” who steal gift deliveries, Judd says: “We’re gonna put you in jail and you’ll stay in our jail where you won’t need any presents.” (RC/WFLA Tampa) ...He’s making a list / He’s checking it twice / He’s gonna find out / Who’s naughty or nice / Sheriff Judd is cleaning up the town.
