Deadly Force
A parent saw someone in a “ballistic-type vest” enter Ashwaubenon (Wisc.) High School, and called law enforcement. “Teams of officers” responded, the village’s Public Safety agency said in a statement. A middle school and a community center were also locked down. Eventually the danger was identified: a student in a Star Wars costume. It was May 4, as in “May the Fourth be with you,” a pun which has become a populist holiday. Police said they would not seek “recourse” against the student for this “mistake or lapse in judgment.” (AC/WBAY Green Bay) ...Figure it out, they did.Original Publication Date: 07 May 2017
