Definitely Rank

Florida’s Miami Herald newspaper summarized a ranking by web site “Thrillist” of every state “based on everything” with the headline, “Florida is the worst state in the nation in every way.” In this case, “everything” includes things like a state’s contributions to the country, such as inventions, foods, “somewhat productive famous people,” and physical beauty. “Our ‘somewhat productive famous person’ Pitbull didn’t help us rank above No. 50,” the newspaper lamented. “When putting together a list such as this, there can be some temptation to defy popular expectations, and go against the grain,” Thrillist said. “However, Florida’s awfulness résumé is so staggeringly impressive that it couldn’t go any other way.” (RC/Miami Herald) ...Don’t worry, Florida: you’ll always be the Number One state when it comes to being weird.
