Delayed in the Mail
“I have been planning this for im [sic],” said a letter. “I am shooting up Wiregrass Ranch High School.” The school, in Wesley Chapel, Fla., did not go on lockdown. The letter was signed with a school student’s name, but investigators determined that student was not involved with the letter. But thanks to fingerprints on the paper, they were able to track it to another student, an unnamed 15-year-old boy who has been arrested, charged with making written threats to kill or do bodily harm. The odd part is when and where the letter was found: it was dropped just before Christmas in a department store’s letterbox set up for kids to send letters to Santa Claus.
