Did He Get the Job?

Shogo Takeda, 24, landed a job interview with the president of a Yokohama, Japan, company that does elevator maintenance. After the interview, the unnamed company president noticed his wallet was missing from his bag — he had briefly left Takeda alone in his office, and no one else had been in the room. When police caught up with Takeda, he admitted he stole the wallet, which had 50,000 yen (US$440) in cash. “I wanted to work for that company,” he told police, “but since I haven’t got a job I needed money.” He was arrested. (RC/Japan Times) ...I suppose a raise is out of the question?
