Didn’t Beat the Rap

When three cars sped through the bus driveway at Delray Beach (Fla.) High School, allegedly narrowly missing several students in the area after school, officers from the Palm Beach County School District Police, driving a golf cart, blocked the drive to force them to stop. Officers asked the drivers for their licenses. One of the drivers, Volvique Louis Jean Jr., 18, who the officers recognized as a former student, handed over ...a copy of his home-recorded rap CD. All three drivers, police say, then “peeled out” and fled, again narrowly missing several students. Jean was arrested on charges of reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, trespassing on school grounds, and fleeing and eluding police. It is unclear whether the other two drivers were identified or charged. (RC/South Florida Sun Sentinel) ...Well no: they didn’t have CDs.
