Don’t Make a Federal Case Out of This
A mail carrier in Vallejo, Calif., was upset that a dog in a neighborhood ran up to him and circled him several times. When the dog’s owner came to collect the canine, the carrier announced that the entire neighborhood would be put on suspension until the dog was controlled. The dog: a Chihuahua. It was no idle threat: the next day, a letter arrived in every resident’s mailbox formally announcing the suspension, and noting residents would have to come to the post office for their mail until the situation was resolved.
