Doughnut, Run!

A New Albany, Ind., man went to pick up doughnuts for his wife, Michelle Nelson, 37. But the store didn’t have the kind Nelson usually got, he returned home empty-handed. He later told police that Nelson “got upset at him for not know[ing] what else she liked after being together for several years.” The argument escalated and Nelson allegedly blocked the door when the man tried to leave. He pushed her out of the way, and that’s when, he said, Nelson lunged at him with a grill fork, stabbing him in the chest. The unnamed man told police he pulled the fork out and left. A neighbor heard the argument, saw the man leaving with blood running down his chest, and called the police. When officers arrived, they found him sitting against a tree holding a blood-soaked t-shirt against his chest. He was taken to a hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. He may be charged with battery for pushing her; Nelson was arrested on an aggravated battery charge and held on a $75,000 bond. The couple’s child was taken into protective custody. (MS/Jefferson News and Tribune) ...The husband was grilled on his choice of nuts: dough and human.
