Down in the Dumps
The mansion in Naples, Fla., set a record. The exquisite 10,825 square foot beachfront home, built in 1994, sold earlier this year for $48.8 million. The house “was completely top of the line remodeled not even 11 years ago,” said Mike Austin. “It’s an exclusive property.” Oh, is Austin the new owner? Nope, the new owner hasn’t been disclosed; Austin is the contractor hired to tear it down — and even remove all landscaping — so a new mansion can be built. “Everything went to dump facilities,” he said. Well, except for some of the furniture: Austin took that home, since “there was some really killer stuff in there.” (RC/Naples Daily News) ...Austin was then fired for being “too low-brow,” as evidenced by his secondhand furniture.Original Publication Date: 09 December 2018
