Robert Hannon was placed on unpaid leave from his job as CEO of the Anne Arundel County (Md.) Economic Development Corp. “These serious charges against Mr. Hannon are surprising and constitute a need for responsible leadership pending the resolution of this case,” said County Executive Steve Schuh. The charges came after security footage caught Hannon entering a neighbor’s home, “touching an item of clothing draped over the footboard of the bed,” and then going through lingerie in her dresser drawer, according to a police report. Hannon was charged with first- and fourth-degree burglary, and theft. The footage was captured on another neighbor’s security camera, apparently pointed at the victim’s bedroom. (MS/Annapolis Capital Gazette) ...So it’s a crime to touch, but not to look.
