Eye of the...

It sounded like a job for the New York City Police Department’s elite Emergency Service Unit: callers from upper Manhattan were reporting a tiger (or something similar) loose on the street. Officers were duly sent; they apprehended the animal and caged it. The beast was turned over to the Animal Care Centers of New York, which euthanized it because it was a potential rabies vector. Rabies vector? Yes: it was a raccoon. (AC/WABC New York) ...A raccoon is similar to a tiger the way Trenton, N.J., is similar to New York.
