Give Me a Lift
After running her car into a ditch, a Florida woman asked a Bay County sheriff’s deputy for his shoes. When he declined, she asked that he carry her. Even once she was arrested, she asked for a ride home. The unnamed 54-year-old woman had been unable to complete sobriety tests, and the deputy had other evidence she’d been drinking. For one thing, there was the smell “so strong I could smell it from over three feet away.” For another, despite being in a place full of closed businesses, she said she was picking up a friend at the “apartment complex.” (AC/Northwest Florida Daily News) ...Imaginary friends DO let friends drive drunk.Original Publication Date: 02 October 2016
