He’s an Expert — Don’t Try This Yourself

The Utah County, Utah, Sheriff’s Office conducted a “human trafficking operation” that resulted in the arrest of David Moss, 51, of Lehi, charged with exploiting a prostitute, patronizing a prostitute, two counts of lewdness, and sexual battery. Moss was easily caught, police say, after contacting two different women on an unnamed social media app offering his “services” in “managing” their career in illicit sexual services, saying he had a “cutting edge” system which “avoids people getting caught.” Both of the women were undercover investigators and met him in a restaurant. They were so creeped out by Moss that they retreated to the restroom, and one locked the door, “which is something she had never done in previous undercover operations.” The Special Victims Task Force swooped in and made the arrest. Moss definitely has experience in the “getting caught” part: after 15 years in law enforcement, where he had risen to the rank of lieutenant — of the vice squad — he resigned and was stripped of his police certification in 2013, after an investigation found he was engaging in sex on duty.
