Honey, I’m Home!

Samatha Ray Mears, 19, didn’t get over her breakup with her boyfriend of seven years; they split after she attacked him after an argument, for which she was charged with strangulation of a partner or family member, a felony. The boyfriend, named only as “S.D.”, says he arrived at his Great Falls, Mont., home to find Mears, who had just been released from jail, hiding behind his bedroom door — armed with a machete. She held the blade to his neck and ordered him to undress, get on the bed, and have sex with her. S.D. provided police with evidence: he was able to use his cell phone to take photos of Mears on the bed holding the machete; he then pretended to call a friend when he actually called police. Mears has several new charges against her, including aggravated burglary, assault with a weapon, unlawful restraint, partner family member assault, and two counts of criminal mischief. This time, she is being held on $50,000 bail, and ordered to stay away from S.D., his home, his vehicle, and his workplace.
