Hypocratic Hypocrisy and Mayoral Mayhem

Dale Massad, 68, lost his medical license in 1992 over the death of a 3 year old patient, says Pasco County (Fla.) Sheriff Chris Nocco. But an investigation determined that Massad — now the mayor of Port Richey — has continued to practice medicine, including dispensing (and sometimes injecting) medicine he ordered online, and suturing wounds in his home. According to Nocco, when deputies raided his home to arrest him, Massad started firing a .40 caliber pistol at the door they were entering. He was arrested and held without bond on multiple charges, including five counts of attempted murder. “He’s lucky he’s not dead,” Nocco said. (MS/Tampa Bay Times) ...“No big deal — I could have treated any gunshot wounds.”
