No Justice
The Putnam County (W.V.) Prosecuting Attorney has filed charges against James Justice II, 49, of Nitro, for allegedly forging a letter of pardon from the governor regarding Justice’s burglary conviction, and excusing him from his probation in the case. What tipped officials off that the letter might be a forgery? The clues start at the top of the “STATE OF WEST WESTVIRGIMIA” letterhead, which also notes that Jeff Sandy is the governor’s “CABNENT SECERTAR”. The governor’s office confirms the governor issued no such pardon. In a bizarre twist, the governor of West Virginia is also named James Justice II.
