Indecent Proposal
Hernando County, Fla., Commissioner Nick Nicholson has been suspended by the governor after he was arrested. Nicholson was charged with operating a location for the purpose of lewdness — his house. Investigators say he has rented a room to a couple for six months, and collects rent in the form of sexual services. “I had originally agreed to the arrangement,” admits Valerie Surette, 30. “I did work at a strip club, but that’s different. Here, I was a sex slave ... Whatever he wanted, I had to do.” Her husband, Kendel, 33, says Nicholson, 71, not only let them live in his house, but gave them money for allowing him to have sex with his wife on Tuesdays and Saturdays. “As the chairman of the Hernando County Republican Party, we have had concerns about his behavior for years,” said John Allocco, another commissioner. He has asked Nicholson to resign. The governor’s order ended Nicholson’s salary and benefits — and, the newspaper reports, “County officials are also working to retrieve his official laptop.” (RC/Tampa Bay Times) ...Wait: are they referring to a computer, or to Valerie?Original Publication Date: 13 May 2018
