Just a Squishy Cupcake of a Guy
Utah’s Uinta County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of three men in a kidnaping case, including ringleader Cody Joseph Alvarez. Someone called 911 to report they received a Facebook message from a friend who said they were being held hostage in a Vernal home by a gunman. Sure enough, when deputies arrived they found three suspects holding six victims hostage. Deputies say a backpack near Alvarez included handguns, drugs, empty baggies, cash — and Alvarez’s wallet. But the situation wasn’t a drug deal gone bad. Alvarez allegedly admitted to deputies that he “believed” someone had taken his “sentimental bandana,” and would not let anyone leave until he got it back.
