Just How Dumb Is He?
Douglas Kelly, 49, of Hawthorne, Fla., called the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office to tell them he had a “violent reaction” to the drugs he had purchased — much different from the usual reaction he had to meth — and he wanted to press charges against his drug dealer. “In an effort to ensure the quality of the drug the suspect purchased, detectives told Kelly if he came to the sheriff’s office they could test the narcotic he purchased,” a department spokesman said. Kelly, who detectives said was not under the influence, drove to the station and handed over the powder. When the test confirmed it was methamphetamine, he was arrested for drug possession. “PUBLIC NOTICE,” the department posted on Facebook after the arrest. “If you believe you were sold bad drugs, we are offering a free service to test them for you.” The drug dealer was reportedly Kelly’s ex-girlfriend.
