Lie Protectors
“Don’t mess with Santa,” said Scott Cain, mayor of Cleburne, Tex. He thinks Aaron Urbanski and those who protested alongside him are “naughty” and must want “coal in their stockings.” Police think Urbanski’s a trespasser, or at least that’s what they arrested him for outside the St. Mark United Methodist Church. He was, they said, protesting a Santa Claus event there, and “causing a disturbance” despite having been asked to leave. (Two other protesters did leave.) Heather Johnson said she told the protesters “not to ruin Santa and Christmas for my kids,” but the protesters “started to shout out that Santa was not real.” (AC/Dallas Morning News, KTRK Houston) ...If her children believe a random stranger instead of her, maybe she's been telling them too many lies.Original Publication Date: 23 December 2018
