Locked Room Mystery II

A man walked into a Toyota dealership in Jacksonville, Fla., and told the front desk employee he was Satan, Jesus, and God — and “told the manager that he has a gun,” says Claudy Pierson, a co-owner of the company. He threatened to shoot a salesman unless he was given a car, and said he “wanted to make sure all gay people were gone from the Earth.” Employees retreated into a safe room and locked the door, and say it took multiple 911 calls and at least 30 minutes for sheriff’s deputies to arrive. A department spokeswoman confirmed it took them 29 minutes to arrive, but said the dealership is in a busy district, “and the man was not displaying a gun.” The unnamed man told deputies to “Go ahead and take me: I’m Jesus Christ and God will bail me out.” Rather than jail, they took the man for a mental evaluation.
