Long Commute
Police in Winter Haven, Fla., rolled on a report of a fight in progress with baseball bats, guns, and knives at a house, and arrived to find the resident heavily beaten; the suspects had fled. Police found the alleged assailants nearby and arrested Quatisha Farlow, 39, her father, and other members of her family; they were charged with various crimes including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The Farlows allegedly drove 225 miles from Miami to administer the beating because they didn’t approve of the man their adult daughter was living with in Winter Haven. Farlow is probably well acquainted with the possible penalties for such a felony: she’s a prison sergeant with the state’s Department of Corrections. (RC/WFTS Tampa) ...So she’ll know the prison routine right off the bat too.Original Publication Date: 13 January 2019
