The kitten was hidden, but then someone heard the noises he made and called Fairview Park, Ohio, firefighters. They opened the engine compartment of the caller’s car and retrieved the kitten — which immediately ran to another engine compartment: the firetruck’s. This time, it took roughly 36 hours to extract him. “He was in a little bit of a tight spot to where there was no way to get him out without forcing him into the engine,” said Chief Anthony Raffin. Firefighters eventually got him out and gave him a name: Soot. They put up a Facebook post, trying to find him a home. (AC/WJW Cleveland) ...Want Soot in your home?
