Make Mine To Go
After being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, Atlantic Beach, S.C., Mayor Retha Pierce Sturdivant was asked to provide a urine sample for testing. She said sure — but only if she could keep half of the sample herself. Horry County Jail officials said she would not be able to keep personal property with her in a cell, so Sturdivant allegedly refused to provide the sample. It was the second time the mayor has been arrested on a DUI charge, but she insists she doesn’t drink. (RC/WMBF Myrtle Beach) ...Well no wonder she can’t provide a urine sample.Original Publication Date: 05 February 2012
