Shinobia Wright, 26, told police she was having a “bad day” when she went to a Palm Springs, Fla., T-Mobile store with her cracked iPhone. According to a police report, Wright told a manager it was her birthday and she would “bug out” if her phone wasn’t replaced. She left the store without a new phone and later told police she was upset that she’d have to pay for a replacement phone even though she had insurance. She returned the next day, but instead of walking in, she allegedly drove her SUV through the front entrance, injuring a store employee. According to witnesses, Wright then got out of her vehicle and started smashing glass displays with a squeegee, and injured another employee who was trying to prevent her from entering an off-limits area. She was hospitalized with injuries from the crash, and was referred for a mental health evaluation. She faces charges of aggravated battery, battery, burglary, criminal mischief over $1,000, and reckless driving. (MS/Palm Beach Post) ...Her insurance probably won’t cover any of the other phones that were damaged, either.Original Publication Date: 29 January 2017
