While other faculty members looked on and laughed, an Anthony Aguirre Junior High School teacher gave mock awards to students. “She said that some people might get offended, but she doesn’t really care about our feelings,” said Lizeth Villanueva, a seventh grader at the Channelview, Texas, school. Lizeth’s award: “Most Likely to Be a Terrorist.” Lizeth, whose mother said she has no disciplinary record, hasn’t returned to class since. She wants the teacher fired.
