Needs to Sleep It Off
After rear-ending a woman stopped at a traffic light in Iona, Fla., a sheriff’s deputy asked the driver how it happened. Travis Howard, 40, says he didn’t remember. When asked for his driver’s license, Howard handed over a hotel key. After failing several sobriety tests, Howard was arrested, charged with DUI. On the way to jail, Howard forgot where he was and where he was going. “Uber,” he asked the deputy, “when we get to my room, can I go to bed?” The deputy told Howard he wasn’t riding in an Uber, and was going to jail.
