It’s the policy of pet supply retailer Petco that any pet on a leash is welcome in their stores. Vincent and Shelly Browning pushed that to the limit by bring their pet, Oliver, which Vincent had raised himself. The Brownings checked before taking the 2,000 pound African watusi into the Atascocita, Texas, Petco, and a manager said, “Yeah, bring him in, as long as you clean up the mess,” Shelly Browning said. “We just sat him up front and let everybody pet him.” (AC/Houston Chronicle) ...If they petted him, he clearly cownts as a pet.Original Publication Date: 24 March 2019
