Agents with the Stanislaus County (Calif.) Auto Theft Taskforce spotted a stolen vehicle and gave chase. Eventually, the driver crashed and fled on foot into a nearby dairy farm. Search dogs located the suspect — in a cow pen, where he had buried himself. In manure. Officers surrounded the pen, but didn’t bother to go in after whomever it was: they just shouted that he should come out. About an hour later, Bryan Woolever, 40, announced he was wet and cold, and ready to surrender. He was charged with auto theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, and felony evading.
