After a test in 500 locations, McDonald’s has announced it’s rolling out table service to all of its U.S.-based restaurants to counter faltering sales. “Customers are getting increasingly demanding, and their expectations will only grow,” says McCEO Steve Easterbrook. Where are those demands and expectations coming from? The rise of “fast-casual” chains that treat customers better.
