Photo Shoot

Photographer Whitney Morris was hired to get pictures of the home Belinda Brooks was selling in Winston, Ga. Morris got the key from the lock box and went in — and set off the burglar alarm. He went back to the box and looked for a security code, but there wasn’t one, so he went back inside. “Unbeknownst to him, Brooks was inside the house in a back bedroom with the bedroom door closed,” court records say. “Brooks retrieved her .38 caliber Ruger pistol [and] fired her gun through the back bedroom door and wall and struck him.” Morris survived, and according to his resulting lawsuit, the photo shoot had been rescheduled, but Real Estate Expert Advisors never told Brooks the new date. Morris is suing them for failing to notify Brooks, and he’s suing Brooks for failing to “act as a reasonable person would under the circumstances.” (MS/Gwinnett Daily Post) ...“This home features a new peephole in the bedroom door.”
