Play it like Beckham

As he was getting ready to leave for work, Tony Beckham, 40, heard “a rumble in my bushes” at his home in Wellington, Fla., and went to investigate. He found a man with his pants down, peeking into a window — and Beckham realized his 14-year-old daughter was in that room, having just gotten out of the shower to dress for school. The man ran, but Beckham easily caught up and tackled him while his wife called 911. Beckham, 40, is a retired NFL football defensive back, so chasing someone down to tackle is second nature to him. He held Geoffrey Cassidy, 40, for police; while waiting, “we just had a good conversation,” Beckham said. Before being booked for lewd and lascivious exhibition, Cassidy was taken to a hospital for a broken cheekbone and eye socket. (RC/Miami Herald) ...Must have been a short “conversation”.
