Rest and Relaxation At Last

Felix Roque, 55, won his position as mayor of West New York, N.J., after mounting a recall campaign against the town’s previous mayor. Roque and his son, Joseph, 22, have now been arrested after allegedly hacking the web site of the campaign to recall him, and conspired to “intimidate and harass” anyone associated with the site. The senior Roque doesn’t seem to have a problem with the charges, saying that if he or his son violated the law, they should go to jail, and that’s fine “because he was set financially and had ‘lived the dream’,” the federal charging papers note. Serving time would not be a problem “because he would work out and read while there.” The mayor and his son face up to 11 years in prison. Town officials, meanwhile, refused to comment on the mayor’s legal troubles. Town attorney Gilberto Garcia simply said, “It’s business as usual.” (RC/Jersey Journal) ...Which, of course, is the problem.
