Roughing It

Three campers thought they had found the ideal camping spot, and apparently weren’t going to let anything stop them. “They had stopped and read that it was a restricted area, but decided that it probably wasn’t so dangerous,” said Lars Alvin. “It’s extremely dangerous,” he countered. Alvin is the head of security at Sweden’s Alvdalen military shooting range. When the campers entered the range, it was actively being used by troops from an amphibious regiment, which was honing its grenade launching skills. When the campers were spotted, the live-fire exercise was stopped until helicopters could be sent to locate them. “We escorted them out, took down their personal information and will report them to the police,” said Alvin, adding the Swedish military intends to sue the campers for 30,000 kronor (US$4,200) to cover the costs of stopping the exercise to remove the trio. (MS/Sweden Local) ...Stupid, sure, but think of the awesome marshmallow roast they could have had.
