Service Above the Call of Duty
Brittany Fultz, 26, was arrested after giving a lap dance to a 100-year-old resident of The Commons of Providence nursing home in Sandusky, Ohio. Another caregiver captured the incident on cell-phone video and shared it with the facility. In the video, Fultz can be seen “mooning” the resident and straddling his leg. “I can show you new things,” Fultz can be heard saying. The man has dementia and appears uncomfortable, according to Detective Anthony Bath. “I never touched him,” Fultz said when confronted. “I was just joking around.” She pleaded not guilty to gross sexual imposition, and is no longer working at the facility. “She did not break the law,” Fultz’s attorney Geoffrey Oglesby said. “It’s a little flirty, that’s what it is and that’s what happened. And the police, in my opinion, and the nursing home are taking it way, way, way out of context.” Oglesby also pointed out that although the man has dementia, he had the capacity to say no — but didn’t. (MS/Toledo Blade, WJW Cleveland, AP) ...He may need to go back to his law book to see what “consent” means.Original Publication Date: 05 March 2017
