Slippery When Wet
Police in Norwalk, Conn., responded to an accident after a woman spun out and struck a guardrail. Officers had difficulty getting to the scene because the road, which included an S-curve on a hill, was covered in a thick layer of ice. After police arrived, two other vehicles lost control and collided. Investigation revealed that Alfredo Bahena-Benitez, 34, was servicing a swimming pool nearby, and had allegedly drained it using a hose run to the top of the hill — in freezing weather. Police considered Behna-Benitez responsible for the icy road and thus the accidents, and charged him with reckless endangerment. (MS/Connecticut Post) ...He’ll be chilling in jail for a while.Original Publication Date: 02 February 2014
